Dr. Andreas Assiotis - Professor of Economics Department of Economics University of Cyprus
Dr. Andreas Assiotis obtained a Ph.D. in Economics from Southern Illinois University, U.S.A.
He is a macroeconomist specialized in Economic Development and Growth and Financial Economics. Currently, he is a Professor of Economics at the Department of Economics at the University of Cyprus.
Also, he is a board member of Transparency International Cyprus.
The main areas of his research focuses on the channels through which political and economic institutions affect economic outcomes.
In particular, he explores the causes and effects of corruption and lobbying across nations and their relations with governance and institutions, economic freedom, and the growth performance of a country.
